Wonders they say will
never cease. Now Beth News believes strange things are really
happening under this planet and what is written in the Book of Revelations is
gradually manifesting. Or it could also be the level of poverty in Nigeria that
prompted a young woman who carried a 9-month pregnancy with pains of hard
labour, to be so callous and heartless to the extent of selling her three
weeks’ old baby. The lady who lives at No. 3 PW Road, Rook Haven, Jos in
Plateau State allegedly sold the boy for N600,000.
A source who is close to
her narrated all the drama to Beth News. According to the source,
the lady said she went to Jos to seek for admission at the University of Jos.
Unfortunately she was said to have been denied admission that year. Then she
felt going back to Benin to meet her parents would be a shameful thing, so she
decided to stay back in Jos after lying to her parents that she had been
admitted. It got to a point she could no longer sustain herself because she had
to cater for her needs especially her house rent. It was pressures like this
that pushed her into prostitution because she thought that was the only way she
could survive. Luck seemed not to smile her side against her dirty runs as she
got impregnated along the way. Although she tried all her best to get rid of
it, she was eventually delivered of a baby boy. Yet, after three weeks she was
said to have been approached by a wealthy couple who were childless for over 17
years. Both parties agreed price for the baby and we learnt she was allegedly
paid the sum of N600,000 a month after delivery. Thereafter she was said to
have told her friends who knew when she put to bed that she had lost the baby.
