DOCTOR SENTENCED BY A COURT IN GHANA TO 25 YEARS IN PRISON FOR RAPING
A doctor has been sentenced by a court in the capital, Accra, to 25 years in prison for raping a 15-year-old boy.
Dr Sulley Ali-Gabass, who worked at Effia Nkwanta regional hospital in the oil city of Takoradi, was found guilty of sexually abusing a boy who has since been diagnosed with HIV.
His lawyers say they will appeal against the ruling, saying the doctor has not tested positive for HIV and therefore could not have infected the child.
