OYEDEPO BOMBSHELL: I MET MY WIFE, FAITH AT MOTOR PARK WE ATE CERELAC BABY FOOD FOR DAYS …HOW FAITH ACADEMY CAME ABOUT

The general overseer of the Living Faith Church, aka, Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has disclosed that he met his wife, Faith at a motor park. He said this happened while she was a student of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU), and he a student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
She could have snubbed him, being a university student, but she responded. Many times Oyedepo's friends complained that he was carrying Christianity too zealously as if he was the only Christian. At this point Faith became overzealous too. Furthermore, Oyedepo took Faith to church in 1976 and made her sign an agreement to marry and follow him whether he became blind, lame or handicapped. And she signed. Also before Oyedepo married her, he told her how God had sent him to liberate the world (while he was still hopping between jobs) and went on to resign from his job.
His elder brother lambasted him, but Faith was said to have stuck to him. David was led in the spirit of God, and he told Faith how God had shown him the key to prosperity. She quickly joined her faith with his and believed. He also told her how their 50,000-capacity tent would be built and they would be preaching the gospel of God inside private jets. Faith had no option than to believe her dreamer lover.

God had blessed Him to some extent that he could afford a luxurious hotel room on his wedding eve, but instead he slept in his rickety Volkswagen Beetle. Yet Faith married him. Sometime during a moment of insane faith, he ordered a mad man to be put in his car alone with her while she was pregnant; she remained calm. When Faith had her first baby and  she discovered there was neither food nor money at home, Oyedepo refused to borrow or  take rom church's money. Surprisingly, they were drinking/eating “CERELAC Baby food’ for three days together. One day Faith came to church and saw him so excited with few members in the church while waiting for service to start. He explained to her that service was actually over. Faith was said to have laughed and praised her God. Suddenly Oyedepo announced a new Bible school and whereas Faith knew there was no facility she immediately asked him and he replied “Is it your school?”  And She kept quiet.
