In shame and society reprisal, Seun Egbegbe, arraigned for stealing phones poisoned himself shortly after his bail from Kirikiri Prisons was perfected yesterday.
This broke out from a close reliable source to Egbegbe who was to have hinted one of the popular Magazine in Lagos that Seun was downcast and helpless. The shame of guilt must have made him drink a poisonous substance. He could not believe or live with the shame, the source who craved anonymity revealed.
“His relations have since called doctors in to attend to him. I don’t know if he has survived it but he is being attended to as I’m talking to you." He averred.
Two medical doctors with a popular hospital in Ikeja, according to the source immediately moved to his residence in Ikeja to attend to him after the hospital was called early yesterday morning.
However, you will recalled, on Thursday, Egbegbe, accused of stealing nine phones from a store in Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos with value put at N2.878 million was arraigned in a Lagos court and granted bail by Magistrate Aje Afunwa in the sum of N1million. Afunwa had ordered Egbegbe who pleaded not guilty to the charges to be remanded in Kirikiri Prison before the bail conditions were met and he was released.
