BREAKING: CHANNELS TELEVISION STATE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT IS DEAD

MR CHUKWUMA ONUEKWUSI

Channels Television State House Correspondent, popularly known and address as Chukwuma Onuekwusi is dead. He died in the early hours of Tuesday 23rd May, 2017. A close family disclosed  BETH NEWS  that Mr. Chukwuma has been ill for some months now before his death. He is survived by wife and Children.
For those who don’t know, Mr. Chukwuma Onuekwusi worked with Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Owerri, Imo State as an announcer/reporter/newscaster on radio and television. He joined Channels Television, Lagos in 1998.
Chukwuma was a prolific newscaster; he presented programmes like Politics Today. His reporting style and experience got him a nominee for the Nigeria Media Merit Awards in 2001 as well as coverage of the Abia bureau for two years.
He was a graduate of University of Nigeria Nsukka, he also had a diploma in Mass Communication (Radio/TV Broadcasting) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and attended journalism courses in Nigeria and the BBC.
