CONSUMER BEWARE! UNILEVER SUNLIGHT DETERGENT OUT WITH FAKE PRODUCTS AGAIN

...cons customers with phoney 1kg 2-in-1 auto washing powder

The nation, Nigeria which many countries have rated to be the  giant of Africa for many years. No doubt it indeed remains the giant of Africa in the African continent even with the economic meltdown and the insurgency with Niger Delta Avengers terrorising the Nigerian economy, yet Nigeria still maintains its status as a Nation; no wonder there is this popular saying ‘before any testimony, there must be a test’. Someone can simply say, Nigeria as a nation might be going through her own wilderness experience at the moment, nevertheless, all the manufaturers in the country are still doing well in terms of producing their goods and products, though many companies have been reported recently to have folded up, all because of  the challenges facing the Nigerian Economy; yes no doubt about it, as many big companies are being challenged with the high rate of foreign currency.  This unwholsome development, BETH NEWS discovered, could be the major reasons some of these companies could go below the quality of their products in the labour market; such as Unilever Sunlight Detergent. It happened some time last year when Unilever came up with a fake promo to deceive Nigerian citizens by saying parents should buy any Sunlight detergent of 3kg where there was a spot to be scratched  with some digit numbers, which they can easily send to a phone number below, in which someone will be reply to confirm how much  recharge cards he or she has won. On account of this fraudulent act ,with their fake promo, unknown to many women, they have fallen into the trap since Unilever Sunlight Detergent  knew Nigerians love awoof, so they thought that could be another way to extort and defraud people and to meet with their target in the Nigerian labour market, it got to a stage when a woman fell to this fraudulent act of criminal tendencies. The woman explained further how many times she has bought Sunlight Detergent and sent the code severally without any response and when she asked some women in her neighbourhood, they also complained of the same fraudulent act of Sunlight Detergent produced by Unilever, a gigantic  company based in  Lagos and in existence as multinational company. With this present condition and the hard times Nigeria is facing, no one will ever believe Sunlight Detergent can be out with another fake product. It also happened recently when a woman, who could not hold her peace, cried out to BETH NEWS anonymously, how she fell into last year's Sunlight fake promo and she has fallen into their trap again, when she explained further that she was said to have gone to the market to buy some things, just as she usually did but to her surprise, she saw another promo of Sunlight 1 kg 2-in-1 auto washing powder which she decided to go for. The following weekend, when she prepared to wash her clothes together with her children’s clothes, to her great surprise, she ended up using the whole 1kg, yet it was not foaming, she left the cloth which she was washing in order to get another 1kg sunlight 2-in-1 auto washing powder, thinking the first she bought might have expired, it was so annoying to her when the sunlight detergent 2-in-1 auto washing powder could not foam, neither could it wash any clothe, even it could not change the water into another colour, she was so sad and never believed Sunlight can still continue in this their fraudulent act, in this time of hardship of the nation and she thus begged Nigerian women to desist from patronising Sunlight detergent products. BETH NEWS, to some extent believed the woman with some of her proof and evidence but as at the time of filing this report all efforts to contact Unilever customer care number, proved abortive as the lines were not going through. We are still digging more on this seeming rip-off and we shall keep you posted.
