But for fate, All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful in Oyo State would have been mourning three of their chieftains who narrowly escaped death in a ghastly auto crash along Oyo/Ogbomoso Road, on Sunday afternoon
The three, including the Publicity Secretary of the party, Wale Sadare, were on their way to Ogbomoso to attend the annual Ramadhan lecture organised by Sen. AbdulFatai Buhari, who represents Oyo North Senatorial District.
The other two in a Toyota Camry car that was damaged beyond repaired include Chief Goke Oyetunji, who is the Chairman of the party in Oyo North, and Kakako, the Treasurer of the party.
Eye witness account had it that the vehicle had left Ibadan for Ogbomoso early in the morning but unfortunately had a head on collision with a trailer.
The incident, it was learnt, occurred a few kilometres from the headquarters of Atiba Local Government Oyo.
Oyetunji was said to have sustained serious injuries and has been referred to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan for proper attention
