KEMI NELSON THE MAJOR HINDRANCE TO PROGRESS AND FADING AMAZON OF IKEJA POLITICS

Ahead July Local Government Chairmanship Election just at the door step, an Upset Ikeja APC members demonstrate  at the Lagos State assembly, on the issues affecting the grassroot and  to channel their compliant aggressively over their Chairmanship candidate dropped in good  turn of Kemi Nelson, saying enough is enogh.

Until recently, the mere mention of the name Kemi Nelson, the woman leader, South West, of All Progressives Congress (APC), at any political gathering would send shivers down the spines of political personages in the vicinity.
That was when Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Nelson held away as a voice to be reckoned with in local politics, until her failed attempt to grab a slot for a seat in the Senate in 2013, when she could not secure the blessing of the godfather of Nigerian politics, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

BETH NEWS team spread its correspondents to diverse areas in the state, with a mission to seek to the views of important political figures in the communities’ political terrain on the relevance and political weight of the erstwhile political Amazon, and the findings are as shocking as revealing.
A chairmanship candidate in the forthcoming local government chairmanship elections, who does not want his name in print, asked: ‘’Who she help? (Meaning, who has Kemi Nelson helped?) The aspirant told our correspondent that even amongst the women folk, Kemi Nelson was no longer relevant, as she has always betrayed trust reposed in her.

Another aspirant, a councillorship candidate, told our correspondent that Mrs. Kemi Nelson remained the major hindrance to progress in  Ikeja politics, insisting the woman leader has mortgaged the destiny of Ikeja descendants, the youth and even unborn generation, concluding: ‘’Posterity will judge that woman well, definitely.’’
At Alade Market, Ikeja Voice tried to speak with some market women on Kemi Nelson but none of them wanted to talk because, according to them, Kemi Nelson has a way of manipulating things in Ikeja, in such a way that anything said against her, even of it was the truth, might end up haunting the speaker in the long run.’’

BETH NEWS made several unsuccessful attempts at reaching Mrs. Kemi Nelson before going to bed.
