Ogun State Government led by Gov. Ibikunle Amosun has sealed up Hon. Rotimi Makinde's Hotel known as Capricornian in Alagbole area of the state. We gathered that the hotel has been under lock &keyed for the past three months as a result of abnormal tax. In a chat , Hon. Makinde noted that Ogun State government appeared to be picking on me or my business to settle scores this is probably the best way to described the untoward action of Mr Adeosun who heads Ogun State tax office says Hon. .A letter from them to my hotel demanded #2.4m and claiming the hotel Capriconian hotel located at Alagbole was owing tax accumulation from 2005 when indeed the hotel was not in operation. A personal visit to their office,although snubbed by Mr Adeosun with evidence of previous tax and commencement date gave birth to a new letter from them to cause a downward review of their demand to 550,000 naira. Without agreeing to their reconciliation,the hotel made payment of 300,000 naira to the state government to avoid been labeled as defaulter or lawbreaker and a letter to the commission that analysed how the locality was shut down due to the closure of the two link roads leading to the area for the past two years, the mere 12 rooms hotel,a one storey building on three quarter of plots of land and on an axis that never for once witness government attention.

Feasible development on the road was done by the owner of the hotel. Texts to the governor on several occasions and appeal made by the leadership of APC who were briefed by Hon Makinde in Ifo local government and other eminent personalities went to the deaf hear of the governor,as at press time,the hotel two gates,bar and kitchen remained under lock,it took the presence of the DPO Ajuwon to get a customer released for they locked in a guest...
To Hon Rotimi Makinde,it sounds very political as he wonder why only his hotel in that vicinity,with his pedigree as a stake holder in APC,series of appealing texts to the gov,some commissioners and payment of reasonable amount,i think I have to cry out before they come after my other properties in that area.....I least expected this from a state controlled by someone i see as my political leader. Thus, all efforts to make them open the business and spread supposed balance over a period of time has failed Am lost.
Efforts to get in touch with Mr. Adeosun for a comment proved abortive as at the time of filing this report. Stay tuned
