PASTOR BIODUN FATOYINBO, FOUNDER AND GENERAL OVERSEER OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF GOD ASSEMBLY (COZA) LOOSES DAD

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the founder and General Overseer of Nigeria’s fastest growing new generation church; The Commonwealth of God Assembly, popularly known as COZA, it will recalled lost his 78 years old father, Sir Fatoyinbo few days back.
The incident which happens in the Abuja residence of the trend setting pastor was announce to the general public with the burial arrangement scheduled for later.

Sir Fatoyinbo till his death is the Asiwaju of Eruku Land, and he lived life to its fullest. He was among the first set of political guru and activist in Kwara State and an associate of Late Obafemi Awolowo back in the year 1979, he became a member of Kwara State House of Assembly under UPN in 1983, thereafter he became the commissioner for finance, but could only spent 3 months, because it was during that period that General Muhammadu Buhari and late Lt. General Tunde Idiagbon took over the government from the democratically elected government and they were chased out of office.
He was however honored as commissioner 2 in 1991 under the teaching service commission, by the ruling SDP party, he was later appointed a board member of the Federal University, Akwa, in 1999 after he had initially served for three years as commissioner 2.
In rewards for his excellence service, Sir Fatoyinbo was chosen as the Kwara State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in 2003 during the Obasanjo/Atiku government, he was thereafter appointed a member of the Board, School of Agriculture in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Unlike many who were cowed into running away from politics with the intervention of the military in the governance in the past, the Asiwaju of Eruku rose to the challenge and this has seen him work with many political bigwigs in the political terrain of Kwara State.

He was faithful, trustworthy, dependable and accommodative; he was also loyal and hardworking, when it comes to politics and whenever Kwara State as a whole needs his expertise, he is one among the great and oldest politician to run to for advise and in proffering solutions to whatever problems that may arise, he was a leading voice among the politician that fought for the creation of Ekiti Local Government, Araromi Opin Local Government and Oke Ero Local Government.

His name is in fact engraved in gold on the sand of time and his impact can never be forgotten in the history of Kwara politics and he left a good legacy behind. Sir Fatoyinbo, the Asiwaju of  Eruku Land, was a devoted Christen who dedicated his time to the works of God, he’s also a foundation member of Methodist Church, Odolomu Eruku, in Kwara State, he was among the first to be honor with the title of ‘SIR’  from Methodist Church Cathedral, Taiwo road, Ilorin, because of his good legacy and his activities in the vineyard of God.

The burial and further arrangement will be announced by the children and the family, survived by children, great and grandchildren amongst who are; Mayowa Fatoyinbo, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Tope Fatoyinbo Adetutu Fatoyinbo and many more.     

Pastor Fatoyinbo, who is one of the children of the seasoned politician is doing extremely well in God’s vineyard and he’s the General Overseer COZA whose church headquarter is situated in the heart of Abuja, with branches across the country. The church according to sources recently opened another branch in South Africa where his white gig birthday was celebrated.
COZA is undoubtedly one of the most popular among the new generational church in the world today, has it’s worshippers cut across all the nation, consisting of both promising youths and adult. Source Oluwaseun.
