OYO WAS AGOG AS OPC LEADER GANI ADAMS BECOMES AN ANCESTOR

On the 13th of Jan., 2018 in the City of Oyo, when Aare Gani Adams, was officially installed as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of the YorubaLand

The journey which started on Saturday; October 15, 2017 when "The Iku Baba Yeye"! Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda (Adeyemi II), The Aalafin of Oyo, proclaimed Otunba Gani Abiodun Adams the leader of Oodua People's Congress (OPC) as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland.

By this singular honour, Otunba Gani Adams, who already holds 50' traditional chieftaincy titles from three countries becomes the 15th person *IN HISTORY* to hold the Aare title, after the demise of late Kasimawo Moshood Abiola, Gani who hails  from Akoko.

He thus became an ancestor, which is the highest honour a mortal can aspire to, without becoming a deity.

His commitment to the Yoruba cause, his lifelong pursuit for the propagation of Yoruba values and ethos, and his unflinching loyalty to Yoruba ancestry, will ensure he reign as the Aare for a very long time, in honour of this, there were many Obas from Yoruba continent, and dignitaries from every part of the State both in diaspora as Oyo State was agog.
