BREAKING: GOVERNOR FAYOSE, BOMB PRESIDENT BUHARI OVER GCFR AS POLITICAL MOTIVES AND IT IS UNACCEPTED

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has urged the President of Nigeria, Muhammad Buhari, to go the extra mile and declare the late M.K.O. Abiola, as winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 Presidential election, saying that it is the only “right and legitimate step to take”.
This is in response to the President conferring highest Honour in Nigeria, which is the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic, GCFR, on the late Politician.
Ayodele Fayose made this known on Thursday evening, while addressing Journalists, in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
According to the Governor, the development is a good one, even if it is laced with political motives. Fayose noted that it is constitutionally unacceptable to confer such a Honour on an individual who has never been President of Nigeria, however.
He opined that President Buhari, who has deemed it fit to honour the late Abiola, should also ensure that the title, “President”, be conferred on the foremost late Politician and Philanthropist.
Governor Fayose who put forward that past noteworthy deeds would always remain relevant, said that Abiola’s good deeds speak for him, and would forever linger in the hearts of Nigerians.
Fayose also admonished Nigerians to remain steadfast in pursuit of free and fair elections, devoid of rigging, subversion, and unconstitutional practices, which is characterised by most elections in the country.
