Commercial activities are usually delayed at this market on Thursdays. This is oweing to the fact that, the day is set aside for environmental sanitation. As a result of this,most Lagosians are expected to lock stores,in order to clean their environments.

A visit to Ladipo market,gives a different twist to the expected events. Traders were seen at one of the gates singing praises,dancing and raising Holy hands to God. It was a moment of intense praise and worship,as traders stepped out en-masse,to glorify God.
The highlight of the event saw the arrival of certain women,children and physically challenged persons,into the venue.

In his address,the coordinator of the event,Pastor Brown Ohans,a pastor from Deeper Christian Life Bible Church, hinted that the event,to reach out to orphans,widows and the less privileged started 3 years ago. He further disclosed that,despite the rigors the traders in the market go through,some well-spirited individuals amongst them,find it worthwhile,to pull their resources together,in order to assist the needy.

Pastor Brown,who is also businessman in the market,however appeal to the Federal government,Lagos State government,well meaning Nigerians,to complement the efforts of the traders, in alleviating the suffering of the less privileged. He commended the management of Ola Hassan Warehouse and others who has been supporting the cause for the past three years. Other individuals who brought cash donations, food items and provisions were applauded by the coordinator.
In his closing remarks, he thanked all the traders and management of the market,also praying for more blessings in their businesses.
