Meet Yoruba Hero That Can Never Be Forgotten, Sen. Akinfenwa

Senator Mojisoluwa  Akinfenwa (1930 – October 10, 2019) former Commissioner for Education in Old Oyo State, former Nigeria Senate Minority Leader 1999-2003.

Akinfenwa suffered military detention over false allegation of corruption and abuse of office by the military after serving in the cabinet of late Cheif Bola Ige.

After his release, he never abandoned the struggle aginst the military, instead stood his ground and engaging lawyers to secure the freedom of his allies such as Cheif Bisi Akande who was also in detention at that period.

Akinfenwa rejected several political offers and fanicial inducement from the military to indict his principal, Bola Ige who was also in detention to sustain trump up charges against his and secure conviction before the military tribunal. 

This is novel in the history of Nigeria Politics
