CJPAN Condemns Assault On Daily Trust Reporter, Calls For Total Blackout Of FFK's Event

The celebrity Journal Publishers Association of Nigeria (CJPAN) has condemned the action taken by the former Minister and PDP chieftain, Chief Femi Fani Kayode while reacting irrationally to a simple question that demands simple answer from the Daily post reporter, Mr. Charles Eyo who is also a Bishop in Olumba Olumba's  Ministry.

We however condemned  the shameful act of FFK  by calling him all sorts of names. Indeed,  a big slap on all media practitioners. Thus, the profession seems to be a thankless job, but  practitioners must not be treated as endangered species in Nigeria.

This is not acceptable while we demand an apology

This was made known in an emergency meeting held on Tuesday

Also, the media group has called for stiffer action and total black out of any of his  events.

Citizens of good conscience must rise up now, to stem this tide that is all aimed at intimidating and harrassing media practitioners to abandon the watch dog role.

The group noted that is this how our leaders, Political rulers and so called 'big men' will be lambasting, insulting and intimidating our professionals? No, This ugly trend MUST stop!

It could be recalled that the former minister of Aviation,  Femi Fani Kayode while reacting irrationally at a press conference in Cross River State after  the end of his tour of states in the South-South region controlled by the party.  Cross River State lambasted  Correspondent of the Daily Trust Newspaper, Eyo Charles and trending on the internet.

The ex-minister in a viral video was seen attacking the journalist and calling him stupid for asking the ex-minister if his tour was being sponsored.

Signed

Sanya Ojo and Akin Sokoya
