The followings are the lessons I personally derived and learned from these two gospel ministers sagga that went viral on the social media. They are my personal opinions and ideas, not for argument.
1. When you are being critized, never respond to criticism; focus on what you are doing, don't try to explain and prove yourself to anyone because you own nobody an explanation. In making an attempt to respond and prove yourself, you will fall into error. Let what you are doing prove you. Example: T. B. Joshua
2. When you are being corrected, don't defend yourself. Accept and appreciate the correction, and improve yourself where it is necessary. But in making an attempt to defend yourself, it is an act of immaturity, ignorance and arrogance. Let your humility defend you. Example: Tope Alabi
3. When you know more than someone or you are superior to someone, never condemn or criticize what the person says or his opinion, because you may not understand the person. Instead, let the person explain himself/herself. And if the person is wrong, correct the person in love. In making an attempt to condemn and criticize someone's opinion, you will find yourself being ridiculed. Let maturity be your knowledge. Example: Tope Alabi
4. When people celebrate and adore you, don't feel elated, don't allow it to go into your head, and don't think that the people celebrating you truly love you; because the day you make mistake or fall into error, they will be the one that will Crucified you. So, becareful! Let God alone receive the praise. Example: Tope Alabi
5. Serving God or rendering service to God goes beyond the religious activities we perform in the church. True service to God or serving God truly is serving humanity, your neighbor. Showing love to others, portraying the Person of Christ to others, letting the world see Christ in your life. Be the father to the fatherless, be the mother to the motherless, be the eyes to the blind, as a matter of fact, be a blessing to the world. This is a true service to God. Let your service to God be a service to humanity. Example: T. B. Joshua
6. When someone makes mistake or fall into error, never join the wagons of the crucifiers to condemn the person, because everyone is liable to make mistake. What happens to the person may happen to you. In making an attempt to condemn the person, you are making it difficult for the person to right his wrong, and as a result of that the person may condemn himself/herself. Instead, let apply this: Galatians 6:1-4
[1]Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
[2]Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
[3]For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
[4]But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. Example: Tope Alabi and T. B. Joshua.
