One among the women arrested in Igboho's house and later released by DSS (names withheld) has this to say:
"Two weeks before the ugly incident, some Yoruba elders whose names I wouldn't like to mention, invited Egbon Sunday Igboho to their meeting. On getting there, they instructed him to drop his struggle for Yoruba Nation and lie low, that they only support restructuring and this can only be achieved if they have their son TINUBU at the Presidency come 2023, one of the reasons Tinubu has not been vocal.
“Afterwards, Igboho responded that this could never work; as a matter of fact, that he would never have his eyes closed and be watching Fulanis/herders killing Yorubas.!
“He also added that he's not fighting a political fight that many APC thought he was doing but rather fighting on behalf of the entire Yorubas.
“Igboho left the meeting angrily. Few days later, one of the top Yoruba elders who was also at the meeting called Egbon Sunday Igboho via WhatsApp and told him in Yoruba: ‘Sunday Gbogbo nka ti aba e so to ni k'ole se se tabi k'ole waye a to leyin ooo,’ translated, ‘Sunday everything we discussed with you that you said was never be possible will soon backfire.
“Egbon Sunday Igboho only smiled on phone but some of us who were with him when the call came in already heard the whole conversation before he ended the call.”
On DSS unconstitutional invasion of Egbon Sunday Igboho's house, she stated that not less than 200 DSS operatives and soldiers stormed that house on the 1st of July. They couldn't gain entry into the compound so some of them jumped through the fence while others were outside waiting to quell any resistance.
“On the fateful day, we were only nine people in the house; every other warrior had joined the convoy to Lagos in order to prepare for mega Lagos rally scheduled for Saturday, 3rd of July. What can nine people who have nothing to defend themselves before 200 DSS officials and soldiers, do? Absolutely nothing."
DSS failed to release Lady K because she made a live broadcast as they felt she might still have some video recordings that may expose their movement for the attack that night."
