New development emerged as Goldlink union taking its course over poor leadership of Roland Awoyinfa the managing director of Goldlink insurance plc you will recall that since Mr.Roland Awoyinfa took over as the Managing Director of Goldlink Insurance Plc things have been allegedly going down. As a matter of fact the company operations and activities have been dwindling seriously.
Prior to this, the union has made several attempts and advice to the MD to change his leadership style but all to no avail as he thought he's bigger than the entire union and the institution.
The union went as far as having a meeting with the Board of Directors where all these were relayed and discussed to the board in the presence of the management
The board was said to have gavet the MD 6 months to effect positive change.
Obviously, within that period or two months after things has gone from bad to worse under his leadership style.
Every month the union have to agitate before salaries are paid. He rejects businesses and doesn't provide operational materials and equipment to staff to work with unless and except it becomes an argument before he yields.
He doesn't go out for marketing neither does he support the marketers. Infact union sees him a stumbling block to the marketers .
In view of these and many more the union held a congress few days ago at the head office and agreed that enough is enough
If things continue like this definitely the company will seize to exist before December 2021.
To avoid the company closing and folding up, the union agreed at the congress that having passed a vote of no confidence on Mr.Awoyinfa earlier on (about 3 months ago) which the board is aware of, we can no longer continue under the leadership style.of Mr.Roland Awoyinfa.
The union congress have decided and agreed that Mr. Roland Awoyinfa should resign as Managing Director of Goldlink Insurance Plc
Failure to do so today the union shall embark on an industrial action starting from today 15th July 2021 at 12pm until our demands are met.
The Union Congress therefore solicit for the support of all members in this struggle /agitation in order to rescue this company from collapsing.
They also promises to passed Further actions and instructions as situation unfolds.
