In fulfilment of his promise and commitment to the welfarism of workers and people of his state, the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration in the state in the early hours of today have started the payment of palliatives to the entire working force and all retirees in the state in the bid to cushion the effect of subsidy removal by the federal government.
While the federal government is finding it hard to pay workers the wage award it promise her workers and some other State's in the federation are yet to pay such gesture or make plans for any palliative for their people, the Osun State government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke has kick-started the payment of its own palliatives he promised the state working force and retirees.
Just this December alone, Governor Ademola Adeleke has paid another batch of half-salary owed by previous government in the state, released 2.9bn as bonds to pensioners on the old pension scheme and contributory pensioners scheme, pay salaries and pension for the month of December on-time so that workers can celebrate the yuletide period in good stead, and now topping it up on the last working day of the year with payment of palliatives to both workers and retirees in the state. What a compassionate and humane Governor he is. No wonder he was given the award of the best Governor by the entire working force of the state.
