Alhaji Abdulsalam Sanyaolu popularly known as Charles Olumo or Agbako, he is a Yoruba actor and producer born on February 19, 1925, in Owode, Ogun State.He hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State. He mainly acts in Yoruba-language films in “Nollywood”. The actor is well known in the Yoruba movie diary. Agbako is a Muslim, he is an Alhaji.
Charles Olumo was born in a village at Egbaowode, Owode in Ogun state, his parents were very poor but he never let that way him down. At 95 Charles Olumo is one of the living legends from the old order of Nigerian filmmakers.
He began acting about 67 years ago when he discovered the Charles Olumo theatre group, which he displayed alongside some Abeokuta, Ogun state, natives.
Before that, he became interested in acting after visiting a friend at the Apostolic church in Mushin assembly during a drama rehearsal and showing interest.
Agbako has been married to several women and he has been blessed with lots of children but none of his children follows in his footsteps. The late Ubatu Ogunde and Akin Ogungbe were his role models.
Charles olumo is now an old man nearly 100 years.
